It helps if you include your iOS version, the app version from Profile → Settings, and what you expected versus what happened. Skriv gärna på svenska om du föredrar det.

Getting started

What is the medborgarskapsprov, and what does this app cover?

It is the knowledge test Sweden requires for citizenship, covering Swedish society, history, culture, law and how the country is governed. The app is a study tool built around that syllabus: lessons to read, practice questions, flashcards, key-point summaries, and full-length mock tests under exam conditions.

It is an independent study aid. It is not the official test and is not connected to Migrationsverket or any Swedish authority.

Can I use the app in Swedish?

Yes. The app runs in Swedish and English, and you can switch at any time in Settings → Language. Many people study in Swedish to get used to the wording the real test uses, and switch to English when a concept is new. Nothing is lost by moving between them — your progress is the same either way.

Do I need an account or an internet connection?

There is no account, no sign-up and no password. Questions and lessons are on your device, so ordinary studying works offline. A connection is needed to buy or restore a subscription, and for the AI explanations described below.

Studying

Where should I start?

Work through Learn first — the lessons are ordered to build on each other — then use Practice to test what stuck. Once a topic feels solid, take a full mock test to see how it holds under time pressure. The Analytics tab shows which areas are lagging, so you are not guessing what to revise.

What are the flashcards and key points for?

Flashcards drill the facts that are easy to forget — dates, institutions, terminology. Key points condense a lesson to the things most likely to be asked. Both are meant for short sessions: a few minutes on a commute is enough to be worth doing.

What is explanation mode?

It changes how much reasoning you get after an answer — from a short correction to a fuller explanation of why the other options are wrong. Some of these explanations are generated with AI, so they need a connection. Set the level in Settings → Explanation mode.

Explanations are there to teach, not to be quoted as law. Where something matters legally, check the official source.

Can I get study reminders?

Yes, if you allow notifications. Set a time in Settings → Study, and turn them off there or in iOS Settings whenever you like. One reminder a day at a time you chose — no nagging.

Subscription

What is free, and what does Premium add?

The app is free to download and the free tier includes limited daily use, so you can judge the material before paying anything. Premium removes the daily limit and unlocks the full question bank, all lessons, unlimited mock tests and the custom test builder.

Prices show in your local currency on the subscription screen before you confirm.

I reinstalled the app or changed phone — where is my subscription?

Open Settings → Subscription and tap Restore purchases. No email or password is needed: the subscription belongs to the Apple Account that bought it, so sign in to that account and restore.

Your study progress is separate. It lives on the device and does not transfer, because the app has no account and never uploads it.

How do I cancel?

Open Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your device and turn off auto-renew. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid the next charge; you keep access until that period runs out.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us — we never receive your payment and cannot issue one directly. Request at reportaproblem.apple.com. Write to us anyway if something went wrong; we will help you make the case.

Content

I think a question or explanation is wrong.

Please tell us. Send the question as you saw it, what the app said, and why you disagree — a screenshot is ideal. Corrections go out in an app update, and reports like these are the most useful messages we get.

Will this app make me pass?

No study product can promise that, and we will not pretend otherwise. The test is set by Swedish authorities, who decide its content and its passing standard. What the app can do is cover the syllabus thoroughly and show you where you are weak.

Your data

What is stored, and where?

Your progress, test history, scores, streaks, achievements and settings are stored on your device, along with the optional first name and target test date you may enter during onboarding. None of that is transmitted to us.

We use Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics for anonymous usage and crash data, and iOS asks your permission before any tracking. Declining changes nothing about how the app works. Full detail is in the privacy policy.

How do I erase everything?

Settings → Danger zone has Reset progress and Reset everything. Deleting the app also removes all of it. Either way it is gone for good — there is no backup on our side to restore from.
