Readiness
A readiness score weighted like the exam
The exam weights its domains 31, 31 and 38. So does the score on the home screen. It moves as you answer, shows which domain is holding you back, and turns the gap into today's plan: a quick set, the flashcards that are due, and a drill on your weakest topic.

Questions
2,026 AAISM practice questions, every answer explained
Scenario questions in the exam's own style, with one best answer among four defensible ones. The explanation says why the right option wins and why each of the other three falls short, which is the part of a practice question that teaches anything.

Mock exams
Four full mocks at 90 questions in 150 minutes
Each mock is the length of the real thing, with a practice mode that explains as you go and an exam-conditions mode that does not. The Stats screen tracks your readiness estimate from the first diagnostic toward the exam-ready line, alongside questions answered, study time and first-try accuracy.

Lessons
63 lessons mapped to the AAISM exam content outline
Every lesson carries the outline code it belongs to, 1A through 3E, and each domain shows its share of the exam beside your mastery of it. There are 2,283 flashcards on a spaced-repetition schedule and a 252-term glossary. All of it is on the device, with no sign-up.

How it works
Diagnostic to exam day.
01
Take the diagnostic
Download AAISM Exam Prep on an iPhone or iPad running iOS 16.4 or later and answer the diagnostic. It sets a readiness score and shows which of the three domains needs the work.
02
Study the plan
Set a daily goal and an exam date. Each day the plan sizes itself: a mixed set of questions, the flashcards that are due, and a drill on your weakest topic. Ten minutes counts.
03
Sit the mocks
Take the free 25-question mini mock, then the four full 90-question mocks under exam conditions. Watch the readiness estimate against the exam-ready line and book the exam when it holds.

Questions
Common questions.
Is AAISM Exam Prep free?
It is free to download and free to start: the diagnostic, one full chapter of lessons and the 25-question mini mock cost nothing. AAISM Pro, an auto-renewing subscription, unlocks the rest of the 2,026 questions, the four full mocks, the flashcards and the glossary. There is no account and nothing to sign up for.
Do I need CISM or CISSP before taking the AAISM exam?
Yes. ISACA requires an active CISM or CISSP to sit AAISM, and expects experience in security or advisory roles alongside some familiarity with assessing and running AI systems. The app cannot change that; it prepares you for the exam once you are eligible.
Learn more →What are the three AAISM domains?
AI Governance and Program Management at 31% of the exam, AI Risk Management at 31%, and AI Technologies and Controls at 38%, across thirteen topics that ISACA codes 1A to 3E. The app's lessons, questions and readiness score all use those codes and weights.
Learn more →How many questions are on the AAISM exam, and how long is it?
ISACA's outline sets 90 questions. The commonly reported time limit is 150 minutes, which is what the app's full mocks use, giving about 100 seconds per question. The exam is computer-based, at a PSI testing centre or remotely proctored.
Learn more →What score do you need to pass AAISM?
A scaled score of 450 on ISACA's 200 to 800 scale. That is not 56% of the questions: the scale is adjusted for the difficulty of each exam form and ISACA does not publish the raw conversion. The app shows your percentage against a 75 to 80% readiness target and says on screen that this is an estimate, not the passing mark.
Learn more →Are the practice questions like the real AAISM exam?
They are written in the same shape: a scenario, four plausible actions, and one best answer, with the manager's decision rather than a technical detail as the thing being tested. Every explanation covers why the best answer wins and why each distractor fails. They are the app's own questions, not ISACA's.
Learn more →How is AAISM different from AAIA?
AAISM is for people who manage AI security and sits on CISM or CISSP. AAIA, Advanced in AI Audit, is for people who audit AI systems and sits on an audit credential. Most candidates take the one that matches the job they hold now.
Learn more →Does the app work without an internet connection?
Yes. Every question, lesson and flashcard is stored on the device, and your progress never leaves the phone. A connection is needed only to download the app and to manage the subscription through the App Store.
Is AAISM Exam Prep made by ISACA?
No. It is an independent study aid built by Vishwen Labs and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by ISACA. AAISM and CISM are ISACA's trademarks. The exam facts on this page come from ISACA's published outline; the questions and lessons are the app's own.
