Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

AIGP Prep (the “App”) is an offline-first study application for the AIGP (Artificial Intelligence Governance Professional) certification exam, developed and operated by Vishwesh (“we”, “us”, or the “Developer”).

For anything related to this policy or your data, contact us at support@vishwenlabs.com. This is our only support and privacy contact channel.

The App is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). AIGP® is a registered trademark of the IAPP.

2. Scope

This policy covers the App and the data handled in connection with it. It does not cover Apple’s own processing when you use the App Store, which is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

3. Data that stays on your device

The App is designed to work entirely offline. All study content ships inside the App, and everything the App records about your studying is stored only in the App’s local storage on your device, including:

• Onboarding choices and your study profile (for example your target exam date and weekly study-time preference);
• Lesson completion, practice-question and mock-exam history, scores, and readiness estimates;
• Flashcard (spaced-repetition) review state and study streaks;
• App settings such as appearance, haptics, and reminder time.

This data is never transmitted to us — the App contains no server of ours to send it to. It is deleted when you delete the App. If you use device backups (for example iCloud Backup), your device may include the App’s local data in those backups under the terms of your agreement with Apple; that backup is controlled entirely by you and Apple, not by us.

4. Data processed when you subscribe

Payments for AIGP Pro are processed by Apple through your Apple ID. We never receive or see your name, billing address, or payment-card details.

To recognize an active subscription, unlock Pro features, and support “Restore Purchases”, the App uses RevenueCat, Inc. (a United States company) as a subscription-management processor. When you view the paywall or make a purchase, RevenueCat processes:

RevenueCat acts on our behalf and under its own published commitments; see the RevenueCat Privacy Policy. Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, our legal basis for this processing is the performance of a contract (delivering the subscription you purchased) and our legitimate interest in preventing fraudulent purchases.

5. What we do not collect

• No name, email address, phone number, or contacts;
• No precise or approximate location;
• No photos, files, microphone, or camera access;
• No usage analytics or crash-reporting profiles tied to you;
• No advertising identifiers, and no data sold or shared for advertising;
• No “tracking” as defined by Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework.

6. Notifications

If you enable the daily study reminder, the reminder is scheduled locally on your device by the operating system. This is optional, requires your permission, involves no remote push service, and can be disabled at any time in the App’s settings or in iOS Settings.

7. Third parties

We use exactly two third parties, both strictly for purchases:

• Apple Inc. — App Store distribution and payment processing (privacy policy);
• RevenueCat, Inc. — subscription validation and management (privacy policy).

There are no analytics providers, advertising networks, data brokers, or social plugins in the App, and we do not sell or share personal information.

8. International transfers

RevenueCat processes purchase-validation data in the United States. Where required, these transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses maintained by RevenueCat.

9. Retention

• On-device study data: kept until you delete it or delete the App — it is under your control at all times.
• Subscription records: retained by RevenueCat and Apple for as long as needed to service the subscription and to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
• Support emails: if you email us, we keep the correspondence only as long as needed to help you.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example the EEA/UK under the GDPR, California under the CCPA/CPRA, or India under the DPDP Act), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of personal data, and the right to complain to a supervisory authority.

Because the App holds your study data only on your device, the most direct way to exercise deletion is to delete the App. For anything involving subscription records — or any other privacy request — email support@vishwenlabs.com and we will respond within a reasonable period and coordinate with RevenueCat or Apple where necessary. You can also manage subscription and payment history directly through your Apple ID.

We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising a privacy right.

11. Children

The App is a professional certification study tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children; the App has no account system through which it could do so.

12. Security

Your study data benefits from the device-level protections of iOS (sandboxing and device encryption). Purchase validation traffic is encrypted in transit using TLS. No system is perfectly secure, but the App’s design — no accounts, no server of ours, minimal data leaving the device — keeps its attack surface deliberately small.

13. Changes to this policy

If we materially change this policy — for example if a future version of the App adds a new service — we will update this page, revise the effective date above, and note the change in the App’s release notes. Continued use of the App after a change means the updated policy applies.
