AIGP Prep

Effective 6 August 2026 · Applies to the AIGP Prep iOS application

The short version

  • No account, ever. The app never asks for your name, email address, or any other personal detail.
  • Your studying stays on your device. Lessons completed, answers, mock scores, flashcard state, streaks and settings are written to local storage and are never sent to us. We operate no server that could receive them.
  • No analytics, no advertising, no tracking. The app contains no analytics SDK, no ad network and no advertising identifier, and does not track you across apps or websites.
  • Purchases are the single exception. If you subscribe, Apple takes the payment and RevenueCat validates the receipt so your subscription can be recognised and restored.

1. Who we are

AIGP Prep (the “App”) is an offline-first study application for the AIGP (Artificial Intelligence Governance Professional) certification exam, developed and operated by Vishwesh Pratap Singh (“we”, “us”, or the “Developer”).

For anything relating to this policy or your data, write to support@vishwenlabs.com. Email is our only support and privacy channel.

The App is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). AIGP® is a registered trademark of the IAPP.

2. Scope

This policy covers the App and the data handled in connection with it. It does not cover Apple's own processing when you use the App Store, which is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

3. Data that stays on your device

Every lesson, question, flashcard and framework sheet ships inside the App, so it works with no network connection at all. Everything the App records about your studying is written only to its local storage on your device:

  • Your study profile — target exam date, weekly study hours, role and target score from setup;
  • Lesson completion, practice and mock-exam history, per-question answers, and the readiness estimate derived from them;
  • Flashcard (spaced-repetition) review state, daily streaks and the question-of-the-day record;
  • App settings — appearance, haptics, reminder time and your last custom-quiz build.

None of this is transmitted to us. It is removed when you delete the App, and you can erase it at any time from Settings → Data → Reset all progress inside the App. If you use iCloud Backup or an encrypted device backup, your device may include the App's local data in that backup under your agreement with Apple; that backup is controlled by you and Apple, not by us.

4. Data processed when you subscribe

Payment for AIGP Pro is taken by Apple through your Apple ID. We never receive or see your name, billing address or card details.

To recognise an active subscription, unlock Pro features and support Restore Purchases, the App uses RevenueCat, Inc. (a United States company) as a subscription-management processor. When you open the paywall or make a purchase, RevenueCat processes:

DataWhy
A randomly generated, pseudonymous app-user identifierAssociating a purchase with an app installation so it can be validated and restored. It is not linked to your name or email — we never hold those.
Purchase and receipt information from Apple: product, price, currency, transaction and renewal timestamps, subscription statusValidating the subscription, preventing fraudulent purchases, and keeping Pro access accurate across reinstalls and devices.
Basic technical context — device model, OS version, locale, app version — and the IP address of the connectionOperating the validation service securely and correctly.

RevenueCat acts on our behalf under its own published commitments; see the RevenueCat Privacy Policy. Where the GDPR or a comparable law applies, our legal bases are performance of a contract (delivering the subscription you bought) and our legitimate interest in preventing fraud.

5. What the App does not collect

  • No name, email address, phone number or contacts;
  • No location, precise or approximate;
  • No photos, files, microphone or camera access — the App requests none of these permissions;
  • No usage analytics and no crash-reporting profile tied to you;
  • No advertising identifier, and no data sold or shared for advertising;
  • No “tracking” as Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework defines it. The App never presents a tracking prompt because it has nothing to ask for.

6. Notifications

The optional daily study reminder is scheduled locally by iOS on your device. It requires your permission, involves no remote push service and no push token, and can be switched off at any time in the App's Settings or in iOS Settings. If you revoke notification permission in iOS, the App turns its own reminder setting off the next time you open Settings, rather than claiming a reminder it can no longer deliver.

7. Third parties

There are exactly two, both solely for purchases:

  • Apple Inc. — App Store distribution and payment processing (privacy policy);
  • RevenueCat, Inc. — subscription validation and management (privacy policy).

There are no analytics providers, advertising networks, data brokers or social plugins in the App, and we do not sell or share personal information.

8. International transfers

RevenueCat processes purchase-validation data in the United States. Where required, those transfers rely on appropriate safeguards, including the standard contractual clauses RevenueCat maintains.

9. Retention

  • On-device study data — kept until you erase it or delete the App. It is under your control at all times.
  • Subscription records — retained by RevenueCat and Apple for as long as needed to service the subscription and to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
  • Support email — if you write to us, we keep the correspondence only as long as it takes to help you and to keep a record of the issue.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live — the EEA or UK under the GDPR, California under the CCPA/CPRA, India under the DPDP Act, and others — you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port or restrict the processing of personal data, and to complain to a supervisory authority.

Because the App holds your study data only on your device, the most direct route to deletion is Settings → Data → Reset all progress, or deleting the App. For anything touching subscription records, or any other privacy request, write to support@vishwenlabs.com; we will respond within 30 days and coordinate with RevenueCat or Apple where the data sits with them. You can also review subscription and payment history directly through your Apple ID.

We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising a privacy right.

11. Children

The App is a professional certification study tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children; the App has no account system through which it could. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, write to us and we will delete it.

12. Security

Your study data sits inside the App's iOS sandbox and benefits from device-level encryption and passcode protection. Purchase-validation traffic is encrypted in transit with TLS. No system is perfectly secure, but the App's design — no accounts, no server of ours, almost nothing leaving the device — keeps the attack surface deliberately small.

13. Changes to this policy

If we materially change this policy — for example if a future version of the App adds a service that processes data off-device — we will update this page, revise the effective date above, and note the change in the App's release notes. Continuing to use the App after a change means the updated policy applies.
