Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

ASWB Exam Prep (the “App”) is published by Vishwen Labs (OPC) Private Limited, a one-person company registered in India (CIN U62011UP2026OPC250741), at 128, Krishna Colony, Azamgarh City, Sadar, Azamgarh 276001, Uttar Pradesh, India. We are the data controller for the limited processing described below.

2. Scope

This policy covers the ASWB Exam Prep iOS application only. It does not cover the App Store itself, which is operated by Apple, or any website you reach by following a link out of the App.

3. What we collect from the App

Nothing. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, photographs, contacts, location, device identifiers or any other personal detail. The App has no feature that would need them.

The App requests no iOS permissions whatsoever. It does not use the camera, the microphone, your photo library, your contacts, your location, Apple Health or speech recognition.

4. Data that stays on your device

All of the following is stored locally, in an on-device SQLite database, and is never transmitted to us:

• The exam category you selected, and your exam date if you set one
• Every question you answer, whether you answered it correctly, and how long you took
• Questions you flag for review
• Your reading position in each lesson, and which lessons you have completed
• Your review schedule and topic mastery
• Your mock exam papers, answers and results
• Your diagnostic result

We hold no copy of any of it and have no means of obtaining one. Deleting the App deletes this data permanently — neither you nor we can recover it afterwards, other than from a device backup you have arranged yourself through Apple.

5. Data processed when you subscribe

The App offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions — a yearly plan, and a weekly plan that begins with a 3-day free trial — sold through Apple’s In-App Purchase system.

Payment is handled entirely by Apple. We never see your card details, billing address or Apple Account credentials, and we cannot charge you directly. Apple’s processing is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

We use RevenueCat, and only RevenueCat, to answer one question for the App: is this device’s subscription currently active? RevenueCat receives a randomly generated anonymous identifier for your installation and the receipt Apple issues, and returns the subscription status. It is given no name, no email address and nothing you do inside the App — no answers, no scores, no progress, no reading history. RevenueCat acts as our processor. Their policy: revenuecat.com/privacy.

6. What the App does not do

• It contains no analytics SDK. We do not know which screens you open, how long you study, or whether you finished a lesson.
• It contains no crash-reporting SDK.
• It shows no advertisements, builds no advertising profile, and shares nothing with ad networks.
• It does not use the Apple Advertising Identifier (IDFA) and shows no App Tracking Transparency prompt, because it performs no tracking that would require one.
• It has no notifications, and therefore no notification token.
• We do not sell or rent personal data. We never have, and this App gives us nothing that could be sold.

7. Content updates

The full question bank and every lesson ship inside the App, so it works completely offline from first launch. The App may periodically check our content server for corrections and revised material — for example after a change to the published exam outline — and download only the files that changed.

That request downloads content to your device; it uploads nothing about you. As with any internet request, our server records the ordinary technical information needed to serve a file, such as the requesting IP address and the time. We use those logs only to keep the service running and secure, and do not attempt to link them to an individual.

8. International transfers

We are established in India. Apple and RevenueCat operate globally and may process the anonymous subscription data described in section 5 outside your country. Since we receive no personal data from the App, no transfer of your personal data to us takes place.

9. Retention

We retain no personal data, because we receive none. Your study data persists on your device until you delete the App. Anonymous subscription records are retained by RevenueCat and Apple under their own policies for as long as needed to administer and audit the purchase.

10. Your rights

Data protection law — including the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act — gives you rights to access, correct, delete and port the personal data an organisation holds about you, and to object to its processing. We are glad to honour them, but in practice we hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to disclose, correct or erase.

Your study data is deleted by deleting the App. Your subscription record sits with Apple and, in anonymous form, with RevenueCat; we can request deletion of the RevenueCat record if you write to us with your purchase receipt.

Write to support@vishwenlabs.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in the EEA or UK you also have the right to complain to your local supervisory authority.

11. Children

The App is intended for adults preparing for professional social work licensing examinations. It is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. As the App collects no personal data from anyone, this is a statement of intent rather than a control we have to operate.

12. Security

The strongest security measure available to us is not holding your data at all, and that is the one we have taken. Your study data is protected by iOS application sandboxing and by your device passcode or biometric lock. Network requests the App makes use HTTPS.

13. Changes to this policy

If we add a feature that changes what the App collects — study reminders, for instance, or optional cross-device sync — we will update this page and its effective date before that feature ships. We will not quietly begin collecting something this page says we do not.
